The present continuous
am/is/are + stem +ing
-He is telling me a funny story.
- She is making an apple tart.
-They are eating dates.
am/is/are being +past participle -I am being told a funny story by him.
- An apple tart is being made by her.
-Dates are being eaten by them.
The present perfect
- have/ has + past participle -She has cleaned the room.
-They have broken the glasses. - have/ has been + past participle -The room has been cleaned by her.
-The glasses have been broken by them.
The simple past - stem+ ed -They planted a tree.
-They built a lot of flats. - was/were + past participle -A tree was planted by them.
-A lot of flats were built by them.
The past continuous - was/were + stem +ing -She was writing a letter.
-They were building new flats.

- was/were being + past participle -A letter was being written by her.
-New flats were being built by them
The past perfect
- had + past participle - She had visited me.
-They had bought a new villa.
Had been + past participle -I had been visited by her.
- A new villa had been bought by them.
The simple future
- shall/ will + stem -They will encourage me
-He will leave her. - shall/ will be + past participle -I shall be encouraged by them.
-She will be left by him.
The future perfect - shall/ will have+ past participle -He will have informed her.
- They will have helped me. - shall/ will have been+ past participle -She will have been informed by him.
-I will have been helped by them
The simple conditional - would + stem - He would buy these cars. - would be + past participle -These cars would be bought by him.
The conditional perfect - would have + past participle -They would have paid him. - would have been + past participle - He would have been paid by them
